We would like to welcome in the Diocese of Padua youth groups travelling to Rome to take part in the Youth Jubilee from next 28 July to 3 August.
We propose two different types of welcome:
1) Twinning. It is a welcoming experience focused on the encounter with the local community. The international groups will be welcomed in the family or in the spaces of the host reality and will live a programme including prayer, festivities, relations and visits to local beauties. During the twinning days the host organisation:
- prepares a small programme of experiences to be proposed to the group: celebration, discovery of some beauties of the surroundings, cultural exchange.
The Youth Pastoral Office of Padua Diocese is working to offer a catalogue of additional cultural, tourist and spiritual proposals to be experienced by the pilgrims. On Saturday, 26th July at 6.30 p.m., all the groups hosted in Padua, both Italian and foreign, will gather all together and participate in a diocesan moment of prayer and celebration;
- shares a time of prayer and/or the Holy Mass;
- prepares breakfast, dinner and a snack to take along;
- provides a place for the overnight accommodation (bed, mattress or sleeping bag) together with the necessary for the toilet and showers, involving families for a more widespread and homely welcome.
2) Transit. We want to help those groups who need logistical support for the trip, assisting them in the research of a place where sleeping or eating or visiting something nearby if request, during an intermediate stop – one or two nights – towards Rome.
Economic contribution
To support the expenses of the Twinning and the Transit a contribution of 20 euros per day per person is asked to the groups of young pilgrims. It includes: insurance, pilgrim pass, accommodation and food, excluding lunch.
